See how religious I am? Two God-thanking posts in less than a week, how 'bout that! I'm so ready for my first award.

Anyway, here are 5 reasons why that is so:
1. He gave me a new tennis idol after Boris Becker. With due respect to Agassi, Sampras, Hewitt, and Federer, I always prefer a less-than-perfect idol. BTW, if you notice, idol has appeared so many times on this site of mine. Dunno, I just like saying it. Perhaps because it rhymes with dodol.

2. He gave me something to cheer about last night after Italy and Germany had been humiliated in Euro 2004. With the risk of jinxing myself here, I say my feet are firmly on the Czech -- which I knew how to correctly spell only recently -- bandwagon.

3. He allowed me to catch the first sight of Gisela Dulko, who coincidentally defeated Navratilova. Great athlete, Navratilova -- 48 soon and still going strong. Of course, last night my new idol (there's your idol again) Gisela -- notice how we're on first-name basis already -- was stronger. And much sweeter. Awww...

4. He kept me awake and full of spirit until the time came for England to bow out to Portugal. It was really a good match for me. Owen scored a great goal in an England's defeat. Perfetto.

5. He plays good football. Which really has nothing to do with why we should thank God, I just want y'all to know that. Besides, shouldn't we be thanking Him -- God, not Goran (and not Fowler, either) -- everyday?

All right, that's enough for tonight. Time to doze off before Goran's next game. Frankly, I don't have good feelings about tonight. Which means Hewitt and France might win. But that's OK, kinda used to it nowadays. BTW, Snowball, that was some prediction there.
