Following are the stages one goes through in these modern working days.
00. After months of aggressive job applications, finally one of them replies and asks you to come for an interview.
01. You get interviewed by a manager, who tells you how working for the company will be a challenging and exciting career.
02. You get an offer from the HR manager, with a lower-than-expected salary -- but fret not, she says, as you will get stock options as well; when the company goes public -- which won't be too long now by the look of it -- you'll virtually double your salary.
As suspected, this and several more that I've since deleted are spams.
Here's an MT plugin that they say can handle such spammers. Haven't tried it myself, though. So far it has not been enough of an annoyance to me.

Among the things one comes to expect from a reunion is being surprised at how much our re-united friends have changed. If you happened to know us from our uni days, you'd see from the pic how different we are now. Most notably, the bellies. (Actually, despite all the changes, a lot of things still felt the same. But let's save that for another entry.)
BTW, that reunion lunch plus the wedding lunch the week after were the biggest reunions so far. To me, at least. Apparently, gathering 40+ people from all over the world is too difficult. No, I kid you not. London, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussel, Johannesburg *or was it Cape Town*, Singapore, Balikpapan, Ujung Pandang, Bali, Papua -- I know, I know, the last two are not cities, just bear with me, will ya -- just to name a few. Man, we gotta be the most dispersed classmates in the world!
As you can see, we didn't manage to find a replacement drummer. So, you want something done right? You gotta do it yourself. Well, all right, it wasn't always right, but hey, better than nothing, right?
I'm officially bored now. So here's some useless stuff from Friendster. It was in Tagalog, so I had to ask my sis to translate it. Despite all those years of chatting, I still know little outside mahal kita and magandang gabi.
Some random nerd stuff I picked up recently.
1. How to know your Linux (Red Hat) version
# more /etc/redhat-release
It'll show you something like:
Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)
NKF held another of its free health screenings at our building today. You know how I can't pass on free stuff, so I went ahead. Here's what my body told them. Today, at least.
