Keeping up with the trend, here's a look back at things that have highlighted 2005 for me -- otherwise known as Pimpin' Meself Sum Mo'.

January went rather fast. Lost a Yahoo! ID, lost a premolar, and at a long last read The Da Vinci Code. Oh, I also got a weeny bit of a raise. Rather exciting way to start the new year.

February was even faster. Had a Valentine's Day I can't recall now. I think I bought someone some flowers. Or something. Funny, you would think someone who buys flowers once a year or two should remember. Had my second anniversary with the firm. East beat West yet again, in the Mile-High City this time.

March was busy. Started my sixth working year in the Lion City. Experienced my first bust-up with WebLogic Integration and IBM WebSphere. And, of course, my longest mass ever.

April was highlighted by my having to take refuge at my ex-boss' while they were renovating the unit I stayed in. The timing couldn't have been worse -- or better, my ex-boss would argue -- as the database server crashed. And crashed badly this time. The result? The long-overdue migration to PostgreSQL 8.0. That and one or two sleepless nights. Hmm, that could be called sleepless in the Botanical Garden, I suppose. Inside joke, don't worry about it.

May. Well, what can I say, this surely is the highlight of the year for me. First, Dodol Wanderers took away the title with a gap of 70-odd points. Pardon my self-congratulations, but when the season started, my team was rooted down the table -- at one time no less than 20 points behind the second team from bottom. And second, what else could it be, Liverpool were the champions of Europe!

June was pretty quiet by comparison. The Spurs were once again NBA champions *yawns*. At least the 7-game finals were exciting. Aaand that's it about June, realy.

July saw my longtime roommate tie the knot. Me? Uh, I learned a few things about deadlocks in Oracle. BTW, The Pak Tino Code hit the press.

In August I got hooked on Not Pron and dedicated tons of time -- isn't time weightless -- trying to solve the riddles. FYI, I gave up after level 82. Went to KL for ten days and became a celebrity tutor. On Hyperion, nonetheless. And did I tell you I entered into a ring-less engagement?

September had me hit the 100th-entry mark. The Amazing Race went light; I watched it anyway, like a good fan does. Don't tell my boss, but I turned down a not-too-bad job offer from our competitor. I had my reasons. Then, anyway. Now I'm not sure I made the right decision. Sorry, it's a look back, so let's move on.

October was black.

November was fruitful. In addition to winning a badminton tournament, I also watched two Harry Potters within a week -- and unashamedly got into a deeper teen crush on Ms. Granger. In case you have yet to notice, of course.

December is always my fav month of the year. This year it welcomed me into the thirties. Had a Christmas party at work, where I got this "R" mug in the gif exchange. Had a silent -- almost lonely, almost meaningful -- Christmas' Eve and saw kids dressed as angels, shepherds, and wise men/women. Managed to avoid Orchard -- not easy when you live there -- completely during the long weekend. You know what, I think I suffer from a mild case of enochlophobia.

Well, there you go. Here's to a good 2006 -- World Cup and all -- and more reasons to thank God.
