Just reached home from -- get this -- four hours of nonstop badminton. Two hours with people from work, the next two with people from HS. No plan of becoming an aspiring athlete, no worries. It's just that we happened to book the court from 6 to 8 and suddenly the other group told me they had booked another court in the same sports hall from 8 to 10. Oh, WTH, I thought.
Sorry, switching to Bahasa Indonesia for a paragraph...
Wiw, inget ya apa yang gua bilang: jangan terlalu percaya ama tulisan di blog. Contohnya di atas gitu. Gua tulis empat jam, padahal kenyataannya cuma tiga jam lebih dikit -- jam 6:20-an baru mulai, biasa deh, ada yang ora kelar-kelar -- baca di bawah -- trus itu juga nggak nonstop, gelombang kedua baru pada nongol 8:30-an, jadi sempet istirahat.
The day started early with me getting my first brush with Singapore law. Not bad for a guy who's been living here for almost seven years now. You ready for this?
Remember our engagement where I didn't buy her a ring? Well, maybe I should have -- or maybe it's lucky that I didn't, depending on whether it's the sentimental or the rational part of me talking -- because now it's off.
Huh? What is off? Why, the engagement, of course.
By mutual consent (and believe you me, we thought this one through -- a lawyer and a computer freak don't just reach any agreement over one or two coffee sessions) we decided today that moving on with our separate lives would work to our best interest.
All the best and thank you for everything.
Looks like it's indeed another six year for my parents, then. And also for my hair to grow.
I guess what I'm trying to say is: Ladies, I'm now available; come and get me! *sighs*
Happy Kartini's Day!
PS: before you start consoling me, please read this first.
Current music: Daniel Powter - Bad Day
Current mood: surprisingly peaceful
Nggak seberayun Juwi sih mustinya, cuma tau-tau kok perasaan gua jadi campur-campur. Aneh.
Niatnya latian lagu-lagu buat besok malem tapi entah giman man ceritanya malah ngerekam ginian.
Selamat hari Kamis semuanya!
Lagi dengerin: Martika - Toy Soldiers
Lagi ngerasa: gembira (tapi tipu)
It's Good Friday and it's raining like no mortal's business.
Well, at least some traditions still hold these days.
Current music: none
Current mood: solemn
The blogger version:
I was down at the mall this evening, getting two new pairs of trousers. Whoa, me? Getting trousers? What happened to the old boring me? Well, what can I say, everyone needs new pants every now and then. On Monday I realized that I was down to my last two pairs. Somehow I had lost one pair. Another pair's zipper was out of service -- causing me a near wardrobe malfunctioning moment.
You know what, I just realized another thing. Now that I no longer have the workplace-within-walking-distance-from-home luxury, I'd better perform a more thorough check every morning. It's not cool having to battle clients with your fly undone. 'Cause, you know, it would put you at a huge -- not a pun -- disadvantage.
As the title suggests, this entry is my anticlimactic way of saying goodbye to certain people and items.
My laptop is one of them. Yup, my once-brand-new, shiny laptop. Which, after one and a half year, had the percentage linger around 80:20 in terms of personal vs work-related stuff.
And with that, my room's landscape is forever changed -- see below. BTW, I showed a (now ex-) colleague what it looked like and he offered the following -- we're not exactly close, mind you, so these were purely based on the photo:
1) I am a night creature (the clock face and the dark exterior -- who else takes photos at such hour)
2) I am quite a romantic -- about myself (pics of myself, none of a girl)
3) I am a Catholic (what he guessed was a rosary -- he was right)
4) I am quite stylish (two sets of perfume, two sets of deodorant, a mirror, a pair of sunglasses) -- which I denied profusely
5) I play guitars (the amp and guitar-related decoration)
6) I collect stuff -- or rather, I am too lazy to throw stuff away (plenty about)
7) I am a Spidey fan -- although I suspect he figured it out not just from the photo
8) I watch Becker -- which led me to question him: how on earth do you know that's Becker on the TV? He never told me
9) I am generally a neat person -- neater than most guys he knew -- albeit with traces of procrastination tendency; he never said how he came up with that one -- freaky fellow
10) I am stingy (the old-fasioned speakers, the ancient monitor, the comes-with-the-puter mic, the office laptop)
