It is at times such as this that I realize how lonely I am. Even doodling takes two.

I know, I know, I have you, you, you, and many more yous who'll be there for me. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all I've got to do is call.

One of you unknowingly said the sweetest thing today, "You are the glue that makes us stick together. Take all the time you need. When you're done, we'll be here." Just when I thought I was nobody with noone.

Appreciate it so much, you guys. Sorry for not sharing, but I'd like to enjoy this sorrow a little longer. The masochist in everyone.

Once upon a time, there was this lady whose second fav question to her eldest son was, "When will you start your own family?" Which was usually followed by, "You're not getting younger. You're doing well now, I don't buy for one second you can't find a lady friend."

And to which the son usually replied, "What's wrong with not having one's own family? Besides, what is family, anyway?"

Oh, if you must know, her first fav question was, "What food do you want to bring back?"

As the voices died down, I heard myself asking, "Hey, how y'all doin'?" I felt tens of pairs of eyes trained on me.

Only one pair ever mattered.

I sought hers and, having found them, proceeded to play on the stage piano the most meaningful song I'd ever written. Some silly song inspired by Abraham's plea for Sodom and Gomorrah.

"Lodorus!"

I snapped out of my day-dream -- hey, it had been a slow day at work -- and tried to locate the voice. Right shoulder, no. Left shoulder, no.

"Over here!"

Everyone knows soft drink cans, right? Everyone knows how the ring-pull opening mechanism works, right? See here if you don't.

OK, now the all important question: if the ring ogebly comes off and so does the scored region, how do you open the can?

Duluuu, waktu kita-kita masih pada lutu-lutuna berkuliah di Kampus Tercinta, kita denger kalo kakak-kakak senior punya tradisi bikin piala bergilir angkatan. Nih piala dibikin pas -- wah, kok gua binun ya neranginnya?

Pas di angkatan itu ada yang nikah pertama kali? Banyak dong jadinya. Kan setiap orang yang menikah pasti pernah menikah untuk pertama kalinya.
