...it wasn't so bad.

Not when my fav team -- all right, all right, my second fav team -- won The Amazing Race - All Stars.

Oops, sorry... spoiler. BTW.

For some reason, though, they did a one-hour finale. Yes, again. What is up with that? The problem with having the last leg within an hour is, you get the feeling everything is compressed. The quick recap in the beginning becomes a very quick recap. The fight gets resolved during a commercial. And there just isn't enough drama in racing to the finish line.

That's right, a week removed from complaining about my fav movie having too much drama, I'm now complaining about my fav show having too little drama. Need you more proof that people change?

(Of course, the one thing that doesn't change is my self-pimpin' tendency.)

The last task was awesome. Well, the premise, anyway. Having one teammate guess what answers the other teammate must've given was great. Having a digitally locked safe? Brilliant! And who were the first to get all correct but the Nipple Rings and Pink. Of all people.

But. They had to spoil an otherwise good challenge by capping it at 10 mins! What the fish? So, the longest one had to possibly spend was 10 mins! Not much reward there for great teamwork.

And then of course they had to make it worse by having yet another taxi race to The Amazing Mat. Dude, didn't you have enough fun screwing my fav team the last time around? I guess that's supposed make it more exciting to us viewers: ooohhh, the suspense! Nooo, they got lost! A taxi now, who is it? But whatever.

In any case, woohoo! Congrats, my Second Favorite Team.

No flashy Flash this time; it's 2 hours and a half past midnight.

Postscript: Amber was as lovely as I had remembered her. (And here's the part where you guys should contribute an awww.)

Post-postscript: just caught The Finish Line -- or whatever it is they call it -- on CBS.com. Guess what, the winners of TAR All-Stars are no longer together and now dating different people. Which merely confirms what even the naivest of us have known all along: that the producers put these two together just in time for the Race.

Oh well.
